That's when a prerecorded message from Arsenal The star appeared on the screen and said: “Hi Anne, I really loved your celebration the other day for my goal.

“Keep supporting us and we hope to see you soon in the Emirates.”

Hathaway, a die-hard Arsenal fan, responded by saying: “Are you kidding me?” before admitting, “I'm shaking.”

But she wasn't the only one: Galitzine said, “I'm more dazzled by athletes than anything else,” and admitted he had been “baffled” by the message.

Trossard's message came in response to a viral clip last week showing Hathaway's reaction to the Belgian star's goal for the gunners.

Arsenal were taking on Wolves while she spoke to Interview magazine, and fellow Gooner Galitzine was keeping an eye on the North Londoners' results while she carried out her press duties.

Galitzine could be seen alerting Hathaway that Trossard had scored for Arsenal, prompting the American actress to respond by clenching both fists, roaring in celebration and shouting: “I love you!”

The interviewer seemed somewhat stunned and Hathaway explained his love for Arsenal.

The couple seemed very surprised to see the message from their Arsenal hero.

“During our last interview, we scored a goal. “We've had a difficult week.”

Arsenal remain in the hunt for their first Premier League title in 20 years after back-to-back wins over Wolves, Chelsea and Tottenham.

Mikel Areteta's men are one point ahead of Manchester City with three games remaining, but Pep Guardiola's men have one game less.
