Over the past six years, Eintracht Frankfurt have been the most successful Bundesliga side in the transfer market.

As per Transfermarkt, Die Adler have been able to generate more profit in the transfer window than any other side in Germany’s top tier.

During this period, Frankfurt have spent €285.04 million on new arrivals while receiving €395.98 million on departing players, making their overall balance a profit of €110.95 million.

This has seen players such as Luka Jović, Randal Kolo Muani, and Willian Pacho be sold on for lucrative sales, and in turn, the Eagles have been able to replace their remarkable output seamlessly.

One aspect that has allowed SGE to be so effective in the transfer market has been revealed by the club’s sporting director, Markus Krösche.

In an interview with kicker, the former Paderborn midfielder mentioned, “The contract constellations are such that we can always have a say,” indicating that Frankfurt do not allow release clauses in their players’ contracts.

Despite this, Die Adler are still required to sell their players: “Of course, we will have to generate transfer revenue. There are very few clubs in Europe that don’t have to do that.”

Nevertheless, by being able to negotiate with buying clubs, Frankfurt can guarantee that they receive an adequate fee for their services.

This has allowed the Eagles to ensure they keep dominating the transfer market, simultaneously developing the club at the same time, which will allow them to one day compete at the top of the Bundesliga.

Hugo Ekitiké and Can Uzun are the latest smart arrivals that look to take Frankfurt to the next level, making it an exciting time to be a fan of the Eagles.
