“I couldn't get away with it!” – Harry Redknapp had an ingenious way of tracking down Tottenham players on their nights out.

Jamie O'Hara has revealed that Harry Redknapp used to have bouncers who reported which players were out partying on a weekend.

Real Madrid recently built their own nightclub inside the Bernabeu as part of the stadium's £860m renovation, with entry costing a cool £210,000.

Speaking about the new venue, Breakfast co-host Dean Saunders recalled the days when his players would bring a set of party clothes to Saturday games, ready to go.

But O'Hara says his time at Tottenham was little a little different, as former Spurs manager Redknapp used to keep a close eye on his players and their weekend antics.

He said: “I remember back in the day, after a game, the Spurs lads – myself, (Jermaine) Jenas, (Aaron) Lennon, Tom (Huddlestone), Alan Hutton – would always end up at Faces.

“We had to stop going to Faces in Gants Hill in Essex because Harry Redknapp used to have a bloke on the security gate.

“So every time you went in there, the security at the door would write down your name.

“The next minute you come in on Monday morning and Harry says, 'Good evening at Faces, Jamie?'

“He put a scout to watch you! That's why we ended up having to leave Faces and went to London because you could get lost there.

“But you couldn’t get away with it!”

O'Hara had previously revealed that Spurs players had organised a secret Christmas party behind Redknapp's back in 2009.

And it's safe to say the former Portsmouth boss was… I'm not very impressed.

It remains to be seen whether Carlo Ancelotti will allow his Los Blancos stars Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham and others to go to his club's new nightclub, Skybar.

Although Not being the highest earners in La LigaMbappé and Bellingham will surely have the money to be able to afford a space there.

The venue is transformed from a place to watch matches into a dance floor, with capacity for 200 guests.

I wish Spurs had that back in the day, hey Jamie!
