I spent a week with Ruben Amorim's family and friends, this is what separates the new Man United manager from Erik ten Hag.
Manchester United's new manager, Rubén Amorim, is, by his own friends and family admission, “different” from the rest.
Amorim has barely put his feet under the desk at Carrington after landing in Manchester on Monday.
But there are already high hopes for the man who broke Sporting's 19-year wait for a league title in the 2020/21 season, which was also his first full campaign at the club.
Amorim led Sporting to another Primeira Liga triumph last season to cement their status as one of Europe's top managerial properties.
His penchant for league titles was one of several reasons why the Red Devils quickly zeroed in on him once pulled the trigger on Erik ten Hag in October after United's dismal start to the 24/25 season.
Aside from their football philosophy, there is another key contrast between Amorim and Ten Hag that has Red Devils fans excited about the club's new era.

The Athletic's Charlotte Harpur spent a week speaking to Amorim's family and friends to gain valuable insight into the man and revealed exactly why his inner circle is convinced he will succeed where so many have failed.
“It's his charisma, it's his smile,” Harpur said. talkSPORT's inner demons.
“It's very easy to say, but when you interact with him, just from a media perspective, he's fresh and different, especially in contrast to Erik ten Hag.
“I think you can always get carried away a little bit. They say it's hope that kills, but from the impression I've had, talking to his family and his friends, even in his recent and fairly short experience as a Coach, they feel it's different.” and that it can offer a new perspective. It is difficult to express, they said.
“Hopefully he will give Manchester United a clean slate and a new perspective.”
Harpur also highlighted Amorim's ability to cultivate a positive atmosphere at Sporting despite much internal turbulence.
It points to a heightened emotional sense that could prove extremely vital in lifting spirits at Old Trafford.
However, Harpur warned fans that Amorim will need time to cultivate a similarly positive environment within his new team as he learns what motivates each player.
“If you look at Sporting's situation, at the time it was described to me as a civil war in terms of disorganization,” Harpur said.
“He really had to cultivate and build that trust with them.”
Harpur added: “I think the big contrast is that at Sporting they were Rubén Amorim's boys, they were his brand.
“Whereas he is inheriting a completely different team with completely different egos and players that are not his and that he brought in himself.”
It didn't take long for Amorim to bring his positive energy to the team as United's social media accounts posted a video of the new boss warmly hugging the likes of Mason Mount, Luke Shaw and Leny Yoro at Carrington.
Amorim's first chance to lead United to victory comes on November 24, when his team take on Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
