“I want to play with him every week” – Lamine Yamal on the prospect of Nico Williams joining Barcelona
Lamine Yamal is already one of the most famous footballers on the planet, despite only being 17 years old in July. His performances on the field have been spectacular in the last 12 months, and the scary thing is that he will only continue to get better and better as the years go by.

He also became an incredibly popular figure – not only in Spain, but in the world. On Thursday, he was the special guest in the famous show “El Hormiguero” (via MD), where he spoke on various topics. One of which was his love for Barcelona, which he has no intention of ever leaving.
“I don't want Barcelona to receive 120 million euros because it would mean I have to leave. I hope I can never leave, I want to become a legend of the club.”
Lamine Yamal also spoke about close friend Nico Williams, with whom he played once again during the international break. He admitted in the summer that he wants the 22-year-old in Barcelona, and now he has reiterated this belief.
“I want to play with him every week – I hope so anyway, but he's at Athletic now.”
Lamine Yamal can still get his wish with Williams in 2025, as well Barcelona are expected to make an effort to sign him once again. However, it is far from certain that the pair will be able to bond at the club level.
