Saunders told talkSPORT Breakfast that part of the Brazilian's problem is that he doesn't run enough towards the byline to cross balls like Arsenal's Bukayo Saka and Liverpool's Mohamed Salah Instead, he goes in and shoots too often.

At that point, the Welshman leaned into his microphone and asked if O'Hara was serious.

“If you looked at him at the end of the season, he actually had some decent performances,” O'Hara said.

When Saunders mentioned Antony's £90m move from Ajax, O'Hara replied: “Yes, I know that and it hasn't worked out and I'm not saying he's a good player.

“But what I'm saying is that if you watched him at the end of the season, he was actually playing well.

“He put in some decent balls.”
