The alleged email related to a £300,000 payment he believed he was owed as part of Kurt Zouma's £29.1 million move from Chelsea to West Ham in August 2021.

Granovskaia explained during her testimony that she felt “physically threatened” by the email, while Rubie insisted that it only involved a legal threat, not a physical one.

Rubie denied the allegations and has now been found not guilty of the charges by a jury at Southwark Crown Court.

Speaking about White and Jordan, Rubie said: “To be honest, I'm angry that it had to go this far.

“I'm obviously relieved that 12 of the 12 jurors found me not guilty of the accusations and it's obviously disappointing that accusations based on a bunch of lies have been allowed to go this far, but thank God that the justice system worked on this.” occasion and for the truth to come to light.

“There have been two years of my life in which I have not been able to work properly and in which I have had to suffer professionally, economically, mentally and emotionally.

“No doubt, many people who are perhaps against the agents probably expected things to turn out the other way around me, but the reality is that when you tell the truth, the truth always prevails and God is great for that. I am grateful and grateful.

“It was a nightmare and I am still living with this nightmare and I hope that once I take care of all the unfinished business in the future I can move on with my life.”

Asked if he is still seeking the £300,000, Rubie said: “I don't know if you actually saw the trial, but the commission I was owed is about 10 times that amount.

“The £300,000 was actually an amount I was willing to accept when I didn't know all the facts and the truth of the transfer fee was hidden from me.

“Obviously then I didn't know what I could get, so it's a lot more than £300,000. Everyone involved knows this and obviously that whole side of things is in the hands of my lawyers and I'm not going to get dragged into tit-for-tat and things like that.

“The trial judge established all the facts, thank God. The law of the country is above any law and I am glad that he has vindicated everything that I have had to go through and that the facts are black and white.”

White then asked again if he will go after the millions owed, to which Rubie said, “Like I said, my lawyers will take care of that plus the interest, plus the rest. At the end of the day, thank God.” The jury I think “It was 12 out of 12, a bit like if England were playing San Marino.”

In her own statement after the trial, Granovskaia said: “Coming to court to testify in the Crown's case against Mr Alrubie was an extremely difficult decision.

“I'm a very private person, but I was willing to do my part to ensure that no one else, especially no woman, felt the way I did upon receiving her email, a feeling this trial has revived.

“I was also intending to testify because I received messages of support from colleagues and associates in football following the news of Mr Alrubie's arrest, including some who have had dealings with him over the years.
