Emi Martínez is in the running for the Premier League’s Save of the Month award for December.
The Argentine earned the recognition for an incredible stop against Nottingham Forest at The City Ground.
Nicolás Domínguez thought he’d scored with a close-range header in the second half, only to see the Villa ‘keeper show amazing reflexes to claw his effort off the goalline.
Martínez’s save is up against stops from David Raya, Matz Sels, Robert Sánchez, Stefan Ortega and Christian Walton for the award.
The winner will be announced at 2pm on Friday, January 10.
