Gregor Kobel could make his Borussia Dortmund return against Werder Bremen this weekend. That’s according to Ruhr Nachrichten, who report that BVB are pursuing a clear plan for the Swiss goalkeeper to make his return on Saturday evening.

Following individual training sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, Kobel is expected to return to training after struggling with a muscular problem in the adductor area which saw the 26-year-old miss Dortmund’s games against PSV, Hoffenheim and Union Berlin.

Borussia Dortmund’s injury situation

Speaking to media on Thursday, Edin Terzić did state that Sébastien Haller will miss the game against Bremen as the Ivorian forward is yet to recover from an ankle injury. But in more positive news, Felix Nmecha could be an option following a recent hip injury.

“Felix Nmecha has trained without any complaints and is therefore well on the way to being an option,” said Edin Terzić.

Borussia Dortmund travel to Bremen on Saturday before hosting PSV in the second-leg of the Champions League Round of 16 on Wednesday, with the score currently tied at 1-1.
