The midfielder scored twice for his country, giving them the lead on both occasions, before England snatched a 2-2 draw with a stoppage time leveller.
After a teammate pounced on a poor clearance from Jordan Pickford, Tielemans composed himself before slotting a shot past the ‘keeper from the edge of the box to open the scoring.
And he doubled his tally later in the first half when he headed home Romelu Lukaku’s cross.
Ezri Konsa played the full 90 minutes for England, while Ollie Watkins came on with ten minutes left.
Moussa Diaby also featured as a late substitute for France as they overcame Chile 3-2 in Marseille.
