Bukayo Saka appears fit to play against Bournemouth this Saturday despite suffering an injury for England.

Is Saka fit to face Bournemouth?

Fortunately for Arsenal, Saka appears to be fit.

Concerns were initially backed by England's caretaker manager. Lee Carsley who confirmed that the winger felt a problem.

He said that when asked about the injury after the match, Carsley said: “It's being assessed.

“Obviously, in the build-up to the first goal, you can see he felt something in his leg.”

But a few days after Saka left the team, Carsley revealed that he should be fine and that another international match simply wasn't worth the risk.

“Bukayo would have been close, but it would have been unfair to take risks with him,” he said.

“He's a positive person and I hope he's okay.”

That positivity has now been backed up by Arteta, who spoke before the Bournemouth game.

In his Friday morning press conference, the Arsenal boss revealed: “(Saka) is not a serious injury.

“He's progressing very well. He's done some things in the last two days.

“I was not fit to play for the national team in the second match, but we are hopeful.

“We have a training session this afternoon, he did some things yesterday, let's see if he can make it on time.”

Saka has started every game in all competitions for Arsenal this season, underlining his importance to the team.

The 23-year-old has also been in good form for the Gunners, registering seven Premier League assists in as many games.
