When Baggio confronted the robbers, he was hit in the head with a firearm. He spent the next 40 minutes held hostage in a room with his family, as the culprits stole money, jewelry and watches, destroying each room as they went. After working, Baggio called the military police.
After the thieves left, Hello and his family were taken to the hospital, where the former Italian international received stitches for his head injury. The family was not injured, apart from the trauma of the event.
