Bayern Munich secured their place in a Champions League semi-final after beating Arsenal 1-0 on the night at the Allianz Arena. Speaking after the game, Jamal Musiala caught up with CBS Sports Golazo.
“It’s a great feeling,” said Musiala. “We as a club haven’t been in a semi-final for a while.
“We still have a long way to go but we’ve made the right steps. Arsenal is a very good opponent as we’ve seen in the Premier League and how well they’ve played throughout the season that they’re tough to beat and to get the win now and go into the next round is good for all of us.”
When asked about Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga campaign, Musiala added: “Everyone has seen we haven’t had the greatest of seasons, especially in the Bundesliga, so we’re trying to do everything in our powers to go as far as possible in the Champions League.”
Bayern Munich and Arsenal went into the second-leg with the tie level at 2-2 but despite Arsenal’s dominance at the Allianz Arena, it was the Rekordmeister who remained resilient throughout, before taking the lead via a Joshua Kimmich head just after the hour mark.
Bayern Munich will face Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final.
