Tottenham reportedly have their eyes set on a possible signing of Dominic Solanke this summer.
And talkSPORT Jamie O'Hara He is absolutely delighted with it.
Solanke scored an impressive 19 goals in the Premier league Last season, only three strikers scored more in the top flight.
Last year, Solanke signed a contract extension that would keep him in Bournemouth until 2027.
But the Chelsea academy graduate, who has been with the Cherries since 2019, could now return to London, according to the transfer journalist. Fabricius Romano.
The 26-year-old is said to have a £65million release clause in his contract and has also been linked with moves to Arsenal and Chelsea.
But Spurs boss Angel Postecoglou is on the hunt for a new striker, particularly a striker RicharlisonThe future is not yet certain.
The Brazilian only scored 12 Premier League goals last season and O'Hara believes Solanke would represent a major “upgrade” given those stats.
“I think he's a great signing,” he admitted. “I think he's very good. He had a great season last season. I think he'd do well at Spurs.”
“The problem he has with Richarlison is that he can define, he knows where the net is, but his link-up game fails him too much.”
“He gets into his body, the little one, the two of them, and that around the area. He's not smart enough. And that, for me, is something he has to work on.”
“I hope Ange connected with him and said, 'Look, I need you to step up if you're going to play number nine for us. You've got to be that player.'”
“But Solanke's connection is really good. You can hit him hard and the runners will play to his advantage. You know you can get Son past him, but he has the pace and can finish as well.
“I think he's an upgrade. I think he'd be a really good player for us.
“There was talk in January that he might leave. He was doing well. Bournemouth didn't want to let him go because I think they are worried about relegation.
“I think now would be a good time to sign Solanke. I like him a lot. I think he's a decent signing.”
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has admitted that although Solanke is currently undergoing pre-season training with the club, his future is not yet secure.
“Dom is happy,” he said. “He's back in very good shape, he's training very well and he has a very good relationship with his teammates.”
“But the market is open. You can't say whether it's going to stay or go because we don't know. In the end, it's something you can't control.”
The Cherries are currently on a pre-season tour of the US, where they have already drawn 1-1 in a friendly against Wrexham and the same in a clash against Arsenal, although the Gunners won 5-4 on penalties.
They have two more games in the United States as they prepare to face Rayo Vallecano and Girona before their return home.
Their 2024/25 Premier League campaign kicks off on Saturday 17 August when they travel to face Nottingham Forest.
