Ivan Toney and Jadon Sancho among the stars who could close signings on the final day of the deadline
The deadline has arrived and it promises to be a frenetic end to the summer transfer window for many Premier League clubs.
The future of several renowned stars is up in the air. Friday's 11pm deadline is getting closerand before that there are many questions left to answer.
Here, talkSPORT.com takes a look at the deals to watch out for as time goes on.
Ivan Toney
Toney's future has been one of the hot topics since before the transfer window opened.
The Brentford striker has not been shy about expressing his desire to move to a bigger club and must have anticipated having a wealth of options after making a huge impact for England at the Euros.
But, despite meeting the Arsenal The hierarchy, offers from top Premier League clubs have been few and far between and if Toney wants to leave west London, a big-money signing for Saudi Arabia It seems the most likely outcome.
Toney has already verbally agreed a three-year contract worth a whopping £50m with Al Ahli, however they still need to agree a fee with Brentford.
talkSPORT understands that while the links with Manchester United are very far from reality, Chelsea are closely monitoring the situation if they fail to sign their main target, Victor Osimhen, wanted by Al Ahli.
Marc Guehi
Newcastle had hoped to have Guehi parading in a black and white shirt much sooner, but this is another deal that will be decided on the fly.
The Magpies have received numerous rejections from Palace, whose chairman Steve Parish is determined to negotiate hard, especially after Guehi enhanced his reputation with his stellar displays for England in Germany this summer.
Newcastle sporting director Paul Mitchell sounded optimistic late last week that a deal was close, but talkSPORT has since learned that Palace have They raised their asking price to over £70m. having sold his fellow centre-back Joachim Andersen to Fulham.
If they cannot land Guehi, Mitchell could well try to sign Chelsea defender Axel Disasi or Mohamed Simakan from RB Leipzig.
Jadon Sancho
You may have made peace with the manager. Erik the Hag But it's pretty clear that Sancho has no future at Old Trafford after being left out of the squad for Manchester United's first two Premier League games of the season.
As talkSPORT reported earlier this week Juventus have been the most serious suitors for the English international, after Liverpool sell Federico Chiesa for £12.5m – but there remains a problem over the Italian giants' reluctance to include a purchase obligation in any loan deal.
Chelsea are admirers of Sancho But any move to Stamford Bridge would be dependent on him accepting a pay cut and United being… willing to sign one of the Blues' unwanted players like Raheem Sterling, who earns £300,000 a weekThe Red Devils have already rejected a move for Ben Chilwell.
Bayern Munich and Sancho's old club Borussia Dortmund are other possible destinations for the deadline day.
Kingsley Coman
It has been a relatively quiet summer at Arsenal with Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori and Euro 2024-winning Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino their only outfield signings.
Mikel Arteta has so far resisted urgings from Gunners fans to sign a new striker, but it has been clear for the past couple of weeks that he would be interested in recruiting another winger to ease Bukayo Saka's workload.
Arteta is a big fan of the speedy Nico Williams, but it is virtually impossible to prise him away from Athletic Bilbao this late in the transfer window.
Another live option for Bayern Munich's Kingsley Coman, who has been told he can leave Bayern.
The presence of a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia means it would not be an easy deal to make, but a Loan of the French international It's something to keep in mind.
Billy Gilmour
Brighton fans were left shocked when talkSPORT reported that the Seagulls could be willing to cash in on Napoli target Gilmour if they receive a bid in excess of £14million.
There has been speculation since then that a deal was close but Gilmour remains a Brighton player and was one of the stars of their 2-1 home win over Manchester United on Saturday.
Boss Fabian Hurzeler is a fan of the Scotland international and Matt O'Riley's ankle ligament injury means they are a brilliant new signing in midfield, but with Brighton spending more than £200m this summer and needing to trim a bloated squad, the situation remains fluid heading into deadline day.
Other players who could leave Amex include Tariq Lamptey, Jakub Moder, Yeremy Sarmiento and big winner Mahmoud Dahoud.
John Duran
The Colombian was close to joining West Ham at the start of the window, but could not reach an agreement with Aston Villa.
The Hammers remain interested, but it would take a lot of exits to raise the funds needed to restart a deal.
Chelsea also held active talks with Villa in both January and earlier in the summer and are desperate to sign a No.9 before the window closes.
The Blues are still trying to reach an agreement with Napoli and Victor Osimhen, but Duran seems a realistic alternative.
Armando Broja
Broja's move to Ipswich from Chelsea on loan with a £30m obligation if they stayed at the club was virtually done before The doctor detected problems with his Achilles tendon.
The Albanian international is still keen to leave Stamford Bridge after being… One of the players stripped of their team numbers and forced to train with the under-23 team.
talkSPORT has learned that Everton have cooled their interest but are not ruling out a last-minute bid from newly promoted Leicester, who are in search of more firepower.
Southampton also has a historical interest in Broja.
James Ward-Prowse
It is only a year since West Ham paid Southampton £30m for their captain, but Ward-Prowse already seems redundant at the London Stadium.
Ward-Prowse is one of several players the Hammers are interested in selling along with Maxwell Cornet and Nayef Aguerd.
The England international earns a decent wage, so a loan deal with West Ham that contributes to that salary is the most likely scenario.
Interestingly, his former club Saints have kept a domestic loan spot free by signing Aaron Ramsdale permanently and their boss Russell Martin is a big supporter of Ward-Prowse.
