Al-Ahli are considering making an improved offer for Brentford striker Ivan Toney, talkSPORT understands.

The Saudi Arabian club have already received a bid worth around £35m, including add-ons, which was rejected, as talkSPORT revealed on Friday.

Brentford They are still demanding at least £50m, even though the 28-year-old is out of contract next summer and has made it clear he will not sign a new deal.

Al-Ahli is also in talks with Tonito who wants a base salary of more than €20m (£17m) with bonuses and accommodation allowance, bringing the total to double.

“For all these reasons, we have decided not to include him in the squad. I cannot say too much.”

“Of course, Ivan is a top player, he has been fantastic for us for four years, but last season we showed that we can manage without him.

“Will this be his last game? Who knows. There is interest, but there is not much competition.”

And then, when asked at his postgame news conference if the question is when Toney leaves rather than if he leaves, Frank said: “Fair enough.

“But let's talk about how big his loss will be when we get to that point.”
