Presenters Ant and Dec even revealed their desire for him to appear in next year's series in a video shared on social media.
Dec added that he had requested Grealish about the rumors, and the 29-year-old sent a video message to respond.
In the message, the England star explained: “Hi guys, this is Jack. I heard some of you want to see me in the jungle.
“I can't lie, it's something I would love to do. It's a show that I've watched, you know, for years since I was little. And, yeah, a show that I love.
“I don't know how I would do there. I don't think it's the best, to be honest, but yeah, I would try.”
“Obviously not this year. I don't think Pep (Guardiola) would be very happy if he ended up there this year. But, you know, never say it could never happen one day.”
Grealish could follow in the footsteps of recent winners Harry Redknapp and Jill Scottwho were named king and queen of the jungle.
Meanwhile, former Premier League footballers Jimmy Bullard, Kieron Dyer, Wayne BridgeWise Dennis, Ian Wright and David Ginola have appeared in the past.
The current series, which began on Sunday, features former featherweight world champion Barry McGuigan and Wayne Rooney's wife Coleen.
As for Grealish, he may have to wait as he has more than two years left on his City contract, which expires in 2027.
He will also return from injury this weekend after being fit to face Tottenham on Saturday night.
Grealish has not appeared for City since their victory over Wolves on October 20.
His absence through injury also saw the former Aston Villa captain withdraw from the England squad this month.
