Jack Grealish has been told to consider a shock exit from Man City this summer.
Grealish has had limited playing time this season under Pep Guardiola, having been an integral starter in his triple winning campaign last year.
Injuries have seriously affected his season, including another recurrence of your groin problem on Tuesday night, but Grealish has also struggled to get minutes when fit.
The 28-year-old has only made seven starts in the Premier League and has just three goals and two assists in all competitions.
He scored five goals last season, but his 11 assists were vital.
After a difficult first season at City following his £100million transfer from Aston Villa, he seemed to have finally found his feet.
However, things seem to have gone backwards and Guardiola himself recently sent a warning to Grealish.
The City boss said: “He played a lot of minutes last season and this (season) less at the beginning, that's the way he has played. That is the difference. He said from day one: “We need him, he has a special quality for our team.” It depends on him. Hopefully I can do a good three months.”
And he added: “I can't give them three or four games to get their rhythm, they have to (find) the rhythm if they play 90 or 20 minutes,” he said. “At a high level, the team doesn't wait.”
talkSPORT presenter Ade Oladipo, reacting to Guardiola's comments, suggested Grealish should look to move away from City.
He said: “That's strong of Pep Guardiola, I didn't expect him to be so strong. That means there is a problem behind the scenes with Jack Grealish.
“I've talked about this before and raised the idea of Jack Grealish leaving City in the summer, because it doesn't seem to be working out.
“(Jeremy) Doku seems to be ahead of him and even when Doku is on the bench, you would expect Jack to start and that's not happening.
“You can hear Guardiola there, it's almost as if he was saying: 'I need to see something, I need to see a little more.' I'm not going to give you three or four games to get into rhythm, they give you 20 minutes.'
“That's Manchester City's way, you have 20 minutes and if he doesn't see it, good luck.”
He continued: “I wasn't one of those who pointed to the end of the season and said all this drinking and all this partying is going to get you in trouble. Do what you want! You're a superhero for doing that.
“I was looking at him thinking 'you realize Pep expects you to come back next season'. It's not one thing and that's it, it's more and more.
“I wonder if Jack reached that height by winning the treble, and not only that, but being a focal point. That connection between him and Haaland was fantastic.
“This City team goes again and again. This is not like any other team you are used to. They expect another hat trick and another 20 goals and assists.
“I wonder if Jack hasn't realized that.”
Nuisance injuries continue to be a problem for Grealish and he had to be replaced after only 38 minutes of their FA Cup victory over Luton due to the recurrence of a groin problem.
Oladipo continued: “Should he be worried about his future at the club? Let's not forget that they bought it for 100 million pounds. He is one of the most expensive footballers of all time.
“We have seen how quickly Guardiola produces class players, Cancelo was a fantastic player… goodbye. Leroy Sane was outstanding… bye. Raheem Sterling scored 20 goals four or five seasons in a row, but when Jack arrived he was gone. Mahrez too.
“You don't seem to put your arm around a player and say 'everything's going to be okay.'”
If he were available in the summer, there would surely be plenty of suitors for the English star.
