After receiving intensive treatment for a hip injury, Jamal Musiala returned to light running duties at Bayern Munich’s Säbener Straße HQ on Tuesday.
As reported by Victor Catalina, Musiala trained individually on Tuesday alongside physio Kurt Stamer with a focus on increasing the strain on his hip.
Musiala was already nursing a hip problem in Bayern Munich’s 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen, but also featured against Aston Villa in the Champions League, although the 21-year-old came off the bench for that game.
In rehabilitation, Musiala missed Bayern’s 3-3 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt and although named in Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany squad for the wins against Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Netherlands, was replaced by Stuttgart’s Jamie Leweling to focus on his comeback.
More so given Bayern Munich’s busy schedule. Vincent Kompany’s side host Stuttgart on Saturday before their Champions League clash against Barcelona in midweek. The Rekordmeister then have games against Bochum, Mainz, Union Berlin, Benfica and St. Pauli in the space of two weeks.
