James Rodriguez is set to leave Rayo Vallecano in January as a possible Lionel Messi connection emerges
James Rodriguez returns to La Liga in the summer, signing a one-year contract with Rayo Vallecano. However, his time at Vallecas has been rather unremarkable so far, with just six appearances (and one start, vs Leganes) being managed since his arrival at Vallecas.
Due to this lack of prominence, it is expected that he will try to leave Rayo as soon as possible. His future has been the subject of significant speculation in recent weeks, and according to reports in the United States (via ED), the 33-year-old Colombian playmaker is attracting interest from Inter Miami.
It is noted that Inter Miami has already begun to explore the possibility of signing Rodriguez, who could be available at a reduced cost due to his situation at Ray. If a deal can be struck, it would be rather remarkable to see the former Real Madrid star playing alongside Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets.
