Martin Odegaard enjoyed a healthy moment with an Arsenal photographer after their victory over Liverpool, but Jamie Carragher didn't appreciate it.
The Gunners breathed new life into their title challenge with a 3-1 victory over a drab Reds team on Sunday, a result that leaves them just two points off the top of the Premier League table.
At the end of the match the scenes were one of joy at the Emirates Stadium with the Arsenal players eager to enjoy the joy of it all.
Among them was captain Odegaard, who decided to change his role for a brief moment by taking a photograph for one of the club's photographers, Stuart Macfarlane.
Macfarlane is something of a cult hero of the club after his pre-match chat with the team that inspired Arsenal to victory over Tottenham in September 2021 was documented in Arsenal's All or Nothing Amazon Prize series.
Arsenal fans loved what they saw, however Carragher was less than impressed.
While watching Odegaard and Macfarlane take pictures of each other, Carragher He said, “Just go down the tunnel, you've won a game.”
“Three points, you've been brilliant, back in the title race. Down the tunnel!”
Arsenal took advantage of their victory with goals from Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard sealing the three points.
Saka put them ahead in the 14th minute by finishing off the rebound, but Liverpool They tied completely against the run of play after a calamitous own goal by Gabriel.
But the away team had their own defensive moment of horror when a mix-up between Virgil van Dijk and Alisson gave Martinelli an easy shot as Arsenal retook the lead.
Meanwhile, Alisson did not cover himself in glory when Trossard fired the ball between his legs in stoppage time.
