Jamie Carragher responds to Man United fan Kate Abdo with Conference League joke after Europa League final jibe
Liverpool's heavy Europa League defeat to Atalanta has prompted Jamie Carragher to apparently offer a free trip to Dublin.
The reds were defeated 3-0 against the Italian team in the first leg of the quarterfinals, which raised doubts about access to the final in the Irish capital.
And it's something that CBS Sports host Golazo Kate Abdo was eager to mention his latest show, saying Carragher I was “begging” to work in Dublin.
“Do you still want to be there, do you still want to work for CBS for the finale of the European League?” she asked.
But Carragher wittily replied: “It's funny you say that because, I mean the relationship between the Irish and the Americans, there's a great bond.”
“Because of the love we've had for this show from people who watch it in the States, there are two nights in Dublin there if anyone wants them, and it's on me! And maybe a couple of tickets, we'll see “.

Micah Richards then asked him if he wasn't going to Dublin now, to which Carragher laughed and said: “It doesn't look like it, no.”
Abdo joked at Carragher's expense, but she did not get free as Thierry Henry decided to take revenge for an earlier dig.
He alluded to Arsenal's 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa in which they failed to return to the top of the Premier League, but as manchester united fanatic, Henry mocked his team's Champions League hopes.
He asked former Manchester City player Richards and Liverpool legend Carragher if their teams will be in the competition next season.
“Arsenal will be in the Champions League, will Man United?” he asked as the club sat in seventh place and 13 points off the top four.
Abdo then attempted to defend his club, insinuating that it was the off-season, but Carragher returned and cheekily asked: “Do we cover the conference league?”
His response drew laughter from everyone on the panel, before adding: “Do we do Thursday nights?”
“I don't think it's in the contract,” Abdo responded, as the CBS Sports Golazo team enjoyed another night of pranks.
Liverpool could certainly turn the tie around against Atalanta in the second leg on Thursday. live on talkSPORTgiven their memorable previous comebacks in Europe.
But United, on the other hand, their chances of finishing in the top four look very slim, so Abdo may end up watching them on Thursday nights next season.
