Jamie Redknapp has hailed the three-way battle between Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City as the Premier League‘s ‘best title race’.

The Sky Sports pundit made the claim ahead of another crucial day in the run in with Liverpool hosting Crystal Palace and Arsenal welcoming Aston Villa.

Both title chasers will be seeking to respond after Manchester City went top of the Premier League with a 5-1 win over Luton on Saturday.

The reigning champions moved two points clear of both Arsenal and Liverpool, but will be overtaken if their rivals win their game in hand.

Redknapp believes the title race will go to the final weekend of the season and suggested goal difference could ultimately be the deciding factor.

‘For me it is the best title race, this one just feels extra special,’ Redknapp said on Sky Sports.

‘I have a feeling it might go down to goal difference.

”All three teams are at home on the last day of the season.

‘It’s going to be an amazing end to the season.’

Should Redknapp’s prediction prove accurate, it could spell good news for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal side.

The Gunners, who are seeking a first Premier League title in 20 years, currently have the best goal difference of the title chasing sides.

Arsenal’s goal difference is seven better than Man City’s and nine ahead of Liverpool’s prior to Sunday’s fixtures.
