Spurs dominated the first half at the King Power Stadium in their Premier League opener on Monday night.

Pedro Porro deservedly put the visitors ahead when he guided his header into the bottom right corner after being set up by James Maddison.

But they had to pay for their wastefulness in front of goal, which saw the newly promoted Leicester score with his first shot on goal.

The goal means that Vardy – a known lover of energy drink Red Bull – has scored eight goals in the opening weekend of a Premier League campaign.

Only Liverpool hero Mohamed Salah has more – the Egyptian striker scored a record ninth goal during the Reds' 2-0 win over Ipswich.

And then Vardy caused a social media meltdown with his animated antics towards Spurs defender Cristian Romero as he walked off the pitch.

Romero, who left the pitch in the 79th minute to replace Stephy Mavididi, took umbrage at the slowness with which Vardy left the field.

This led the former England international to clearly tell the Argentine defender to “go fuck himself.”

And he then gestured towards the travelling Spurs faithful, where he pointed to the Premier League patch on his Leicester shirt to remind fans of his top-flight success.

He then made a zero with his thumb and index finger to represent how many Premier League titles Tottenham have won.
