Former Premier League player John Paintsil is in a stable condition after being involved in a car accident.

“We are pleased to report that all three members of the technical team are in a stable condition and will undergo further medical assessments, as a precautionary measure, upon their return to Accra.”
The Ghana FA also added that they were confident that the three coaches would make a speedy recovery.
Indeed, the organisation said it expects the trio to be “fit and ready to lead” Ghana in this week’s AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger this month.
Paintsil made his Premier League debut when he joined West Ham in the summer of 2006 after the World Cup, where Ghana reached the last 16 in their first appearance at the tournament.
During his time with the Hammers, he made 19 Premier League appearances before joining Fulham on a double deal alongside Bobby Zamora.
At Craven Cottage, Paintsil made 75 league appearances between 2008 and 2011.

The defender made seven appearances before leaving English football the following year.
Paintsil is a legend of Ghanaian football, having earned 83 caps for his country, including at the 2010 World Cup, where the Black Stars narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-finals.
