The DFB have announced the first two call-ups to Julian Nagelsmann’s Germany squad for Euro 2024 in defenders Jonathan Tah and Nico Schlotterbeck.
Borussia Dortmund’s Schlotterbeck was announced on Sunday evening on the news TV programme Tagesschau. The 24-year-old was omitted from the last international break due to his performances from the club side. However, after the March international break, Schlotterbeck’s performances have improved considerably especially in the Champions League.
Tah was a key part of the last international break playing in the heart of defence with Antonio Rüdiger in wins against France and the Netherlands. The 28 year old has been a stalwart in the Bayer Leverkusen defence as they have went 50 games unbeaten in all competitions with only three games left of the season.
Heach coach Nagelsmann will announce the complete squad on Thursday but other players will be announced in a variety of ways in the days leading up to the announcement to avoid any leaks.
