“I always believed that it's not about blowing smoke up your ass, sometimes you have to receive bad news and you have to take it the right way.
“And I think the captain leads from the front on that.”

“My last one will be a shock, he's a (former) Liverpool player and everyone thinks I'm going to say Steven Gerrard straight away.
“But I think the best captain they've had in the Premier League is Jordan Henderson.
“I think Stevie is an amazing, amazing player, and I don't know what he did behind the scenes, but he was obviously very good.
“But for me, Jordan, having won the Champions League and the Premier League, I think he just beats it.
“He was a leader, he was someone who didn't care what people thought of him when he told them bad news in the field, he took care of it.
“I think he was a good complement between the management and the players with Jurgen (Klopp) and he was a good servant for the club.
“And I think he has to go there as one of the best captains in the Premier League.”
