Jorginho's agent lists five clubs the Arsenal star could join this summer as Gunners open contract talks
Arsenal star Jorginho has no shortage of suitors and his agent reveals five Italian clubs are looking to bring him back to Serie A..
The 32-year-old faces an uncertain future in the Emirates and his contract will expire at the end of the season.
And although it has established itself as an important member of Mikel ArtetaIn the squad, the former Chelsea midfielder remains linked with a return to Italy.
Jorginho He swapped Napoli for Stamford Bridge in 2018, and the Serie A champions are one of the teams that are open to winning the Euro 2020 winner.
But it is a reunion with former Blues and Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri at Lazio that could be his next destination should he leave north London this summer.
Speaking to TV Play in Italy, Jorginho's representative, Joao Santos, stated: “Lazio would be better off, due to the presence of coach Sarri, who already knows his characteristics very well.
“But also Juve (Juventus), which has a great sports director like Cristiano Giuntoli, with whom he spent many years at Napoli.
“I wouldn't rule out returning to Naples with the new coach (Francesco) Calzona, who previously worked with Sarri.”
And he added: “I don't think Roma is likely, because there has never been any contact with them.
“But when it comes to their strength and tradition, everyone would love to play for (AC) Milan and Inter (Milan).”
After his performance as player of the match in the 4-1 victory against Newcastle last weekend, Arsenal are reported to be willing to offer him new terms.
sport PA have stated that the Gunners will begin contract talks with Jorginho in the near future, with a one-year extension plus another 12 months potentially being on the table.
Arteta waxed lyrical about Jorginho after the win over the Magpies, where he said: “He is without a doubt (world class).”
Before adding: “He is a top-level player, especially when rivals have certain behaviors or certain configurations.
“The way I can imagine the game, he's going to have a big impact.
“But I think you have to do it at this level and when he's not playing consistently, you have to give him credit because he was magnificent again today.”
