Bild reports that 1.FC Köln defender Julian Chabot is of interest to Eintracht Frankfurt in the event that centre-back Willian Pacho leaves the club in the summer.
Pacho has attracted interest from a host of clubs from abroad and so Frankfurt are preparing for a potential departure. Frankfurt will only allow the Ecuadorians to leave if they receive around €50m-60m. Köln’s Chabot is an option as it is reported that if the Domstadt side is relegated, Chabot has a release clause in his contract worth €5m.
Sky Germany also reports about the need for a potential Pacho replacement but PAOK’s Konstantinos Koulierakis. An agreement between the defender and Frankfurt has already been reached but PAOK are demanding €13m for Koulierakis, while Frankfurt are only interested in spending €7-8m.
Frankfurt are also interest in Mainz’s Nadiem Amiri. Since joining Bayer Leverkusen in the winter, Amiri has played a key role in Mainz’s turnaround in form as they fight to stay in the Bundesliga. The 27-year-old would likely repalce Donny van de Beek who has not impressed at all since joining from Manchester Unnited on loan in the winter.
Die Adler have already completed several deals ahead of the summer window with Krisztián Lisztes, Aurèle Amenda, Nathaniel Brown and Can Uzun (not officially confirmed) all set to join Frankfurt in the summer.
