Jurgen Klopp can barely watch Brentford clash as Liverpool suffer double injury ahead of Carabao Cup final
Liverpool have suffered two major injuries ahead of the Carabao Cup final with Diogo Jota stretchered off at Brentford.
The Portuguese star hit the deck After a fierce clash with Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard.
After receiving treatment, Jota tried to get back on his feet before falling to the ground again, being summoned to the field on a stretcher.
He was then taken off the Gtech Community Stadium pitch and replaced by returning star Mohamed Salah.
This came after another injury in the first half with Curtis Jones forced off following a challenge from Norgaard.
Liverpool have one eye on their Carabao Cup final clash with Chelsea next weekend.
However, with Jota and Jones joining a long list of injuredJurgen Klopp will be cursing his luck ahead of the clash at Wembley.
The German was later seen with his head in his hands as more strong challenges arrived from Brentford.
Jota's injury came after he played a key role in Liverpool taking the lead over Brentford.
Following a great clearance from Virgil van Dijk, Jota curled a wonderfully cushioned header into the path of Darwin Nunez, who scored a delightful try to put the Reds up 1-0.
Victory over the Bees will ensure Klopp's side remain top of the table ahead of the Carabao Cup final.
