“In all the areas that are important for coaches, he was a great help.”
Klopp wasn't the only one offering some words of wisdom.
“Not only him, but other coaches as well,” Hurzeler continued. “I made a lot of calls over the last few weeks just to compare myself as best as possible for this big challenge.”
But Jim White wanted to know more about what Klopp told him.
However, Hurzeler was not fooled and smiled: “Yes, of course he is a big fan of the UK. We were talking on the phone for a while and afterwards he said to me: 'Yes, you might be ready'.”

“I try to convince them by asking them why they should do it and in the end my job as a team is to make each player valued, feel valued and make each player better.
“That’s my leadership style.”

He said: “Not many clubs in the world could convince me to leave St Pauli, but Brighton was one of them and from the first second I had a very, very good feeling.
“The atmosphere here and the facilities around me are amazing, so I’m really looking forward to the next challenge.”
