According to Patrick Berger, Juventus are edging closer to signing Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi.
It had previously been reported that the Serie A outfit were keen on luring Adeyemi away from the Westfalenstadion this summer. However, it was believed that Juve were still far from completing a deal for the 22-year-old.
Nevertheless, as stated in the report, the Italian side are now pushing to get this deal over the line. It is understood that in the past 24 hours, they have met with Adeyemi’s father and his management in Germany.
Regardless, the Bianconeri remain in the same position of needing to sell players before they can look to buy. With Dortmund demanding €40–€50 million for Adeyemi’s signature, Juve will need to offload at least one player to begin negotiations with BvB.
However, talks with Die Schwarzgelben could begin sooner rather than later. Stuttgart are just one of the many clubs looking to sign Juve centre-back Dean Huijsen, and should a deal for the 19-year-old get over the line, Adeyemi could be Juventus-bound.
