Juventus reaches an agreement of 50 million euros to sign Douglas Luiz and Aston Villa prepares for a double agreement


Juventus have reached an agreement to sign Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz for €50 million, talkSPORT understands.

talkSPORT reported that Unai Emery's team has been considering a sale to alleviate your concerns about PSR (profit and sustainability rules).

Arsenal have long been admirers of Luis but it seems as if Juventus have won the race for the 26-year-old.

As part of the deal, Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea will join Villa this summer.

Luiz was key to Villa's successful season, which finished fourth in the Premier League and sealed qualification for the Champions League.

He made 53 appearances in all competitions throughout the campaign, scoring ten goals and also assisting ten others.

The midfielder, who joined from Manchester City in 2019, will now leave Villa Park to join the Serie A giants.

Emery's side will now welcome former Chelsea youth star Iling-Junior to the club, with the 20-year-old an exciting midfielder.

Barrenechea, who plays as a defensive midfielder, will also complete his move to the Premier League side.

Villa are currently one of the most active clubs in the transfer market as they prepare for the new season.
