Many believed the Arsenal midfielder was lucky to only be shown yellow and that idea was shared by talkSPORT. Gabby Agbonlahor.
He told the GameDay Phone-In: “That Havertz entrance was like one you used to see in the 1960s, '70s, '80s, it's a Graeme Souness type of tackle, type of tackle Diego Maradona I used to get.
“How did he get away with a yellow card? He absolutely destroyed it! He caught Longstaff, he caught him quite well. Those tackles don't happen anymore.”
Things calmed down after the incident but not for long as it was Arsenal who became enraged after Bruno Guimaraes got away with an elbow. Jorginho.

“The result is nowhere near the level this league needs to be at and the way this league competes. It's not good enough. I feel ashamed to be a part of this.”
After Arteta's comments, Arsenal issued a statement defending his coach and criticizing the referee team and the VAR.
