Missy Bo Kearns believes Aston Villa is the perfect fit for her as she begins a new chapter in her career.
The 23-year-old came through the ranks at her hometown club Liverpool and established herself as a regular for the Reds.
Kearns says there was only one place she wanted to go as she looks to take her game to the next level.
“I’m delighted and really excited for a new challenge,” she said.
“Speaking to the club and the new manager, the direction the club’s going in is something that I want to be part of. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Kearns added: “Where I am in my career, this was the perfect fit for me, what I want to do and what I want to achieve.
“The aspirations of the club and the style of the new manager is something I feel will suit me and now’s the right time to experience that.
“There was no club that I thought about other than here.”
Optimism is in plentiful supply at Bodymoor Heath after the unveiling of new manager Robert de Pauw and several new signings.
Kearns shares those feelings and believes anything is possible as they head into a new campaign.
She said: “Everything is achievable that you put your mind to.
“Everyone will have the same attitude as me. It’s a fresh start with a new manager and it’s exciting.
“No one knows what to expect just yet, so it’s going to be a positive pre-season and then we’ll get into the season.”
