Kyle Walker plays with Harry Kane and Erling Haaland – Kevin De Bruyne is the best all-rounder, but David Silva and Spurs' forgotten ace are the best.
Kyle Walker believes David Silva and Mousa Dembélé are two of the biggest stars he has played with.
He Manchester City full back has starred alongside some of the biggest names in the business, including Luka Modric and Gareth Bale, while calling out Erling Haaland, Harry Kane and Judas Bellingham Teammates.
At Tottenham, Bale scored 26 goals and assisted a further 14 during the 2012/13 season, and Walker says it is the best individual campaign he has seen.
But he could not escape the class and grace shown by Silva, his former teammate at City, and by Dembélé with whom he played at Tottenham.
About Silva, he told Rio Ferdinand Vibrate with FIVE: “You throw him a bad ball and he makes it look like a good ball; he makes you look better,” Walker said. “David was very good. All-rounder, Kevin, but David individually.
“David or, I've said it many times, Mousa Dembélé. It's a scandal. The only thing Dembélé didn't have were assists and goals, but he had stupid talent, it shouldn't have been allowed.”
Walker was then asked if Dembélé could play in City's current team, and he responded emphatically: “A million percent.”
The duo played 139 games together for Spurs, and were both key to their Premier League title aspirations in 2016 and 2017.
After 249 appearances for the north London club, Dembélé left for Chinese side Guangzhou City FC in January 2019, but he is not the first person to highlight Dembélé's incredible talent.
Kane and Mauricio Pochettino, who managed him at Spurs, praised him, while Jermaine Jenas referred to him as a 'vacuum' for absorbing pressure and then releasing the ball at the perfect moment.
Walker, meanwhile, joined Silva at City in 2017 and has enjoyed unprecedented success under Pep Guardiola.
They played 103 times together over three years, winning two Premier League titles, two League Cups and the FA Cup.
Following an anterior cruciate ligament injury, Silva announced his retirement from football last July and is considered one of the best players in City's history.
Walker can now play with and against the next generation of talent such as Bellingham with England and Phil Foden at both club and international level.
There may be concerns about your physical condition after he was injured for England against Brazil on Saturday and Arsenal will be City's next rival in the race for the Premier League title.
