Star of Real Madrid Kylian Mbappe he finally left Paris Saint-Germain this summer, but he didn't do so without acrimony. The French superstar continues to claim the wages he is owed PSGwho do not believe that they have to pay anything because of an alleged verbal agreement that they will not leave in a free.

Both Ligue 1 and LFP disciplinary bodies have ruled in favor of Mbappé that he will owe the €55.4 million from PSG for the months of April, May and June, although the LFP has not not sanctioned the club. They keep refusing to pay though. The Team, as brought by Sportthey say that with PSG forced to submit their accounts to UEFA on January 15, and one of the stipulations of their regulations is that clubs should not be in debt to their employees, which technically could include Mbappe. UEFA could decide to sanction PSG for this, with punishments ranging from shortened squads and fines to suspension from the competition.

It seems highly unlikely that UEFA will ban PSG from the Champions League over this matter, especially when it has not been resolved in a legal sense. Mbappe is not short of money, and he can afford to play the long game to get the money he is owed, while PSG buys time to improve their finances in the meantime after expensive expenses without gaining anything from the exit of Mbappe, Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi.
