MARCA announced on Monday that Kylian Mbappe, who informed PSG that he would not be staying with the French club next season, has already inked his contract with Real Madrid.

When asked about the potential impact of the Frenchman’s arrival in LaLiga EA Sports, president Javier Tebas told L’Equipe that it is undoubtedly a positive development for the league.

“Of course, this is fantastic news for Real Madrid and for Spanish football,” Tebas declared in an interview with L’Equipe.

“He is one of the top players in the world. In my opinion, Bellingham, Haaland, and Mbappe are the three dominant players on the planet, and two of them are now at Real Madrid.

Can Real Madrid afford to sign Mbappe fairly?

Regarding the financial implications of Kylian’s arrival for Real Madrid, Tebas made clear that the club will not face any issues similar to those which have plagued Barcelona of late.

“It is a club in an excellent economic position,” he added.

“The president and the general manager are very capable administrators, but they are not very good at organizing new competitions.

“They are not required to sell anyone to afford Mbappe, not at all.”

Tebas also commented on his fractured relationship with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, with a dispute coming from Perez’s spearheading of the European Super League project.

“He hasn’t spoken to me in three years. However, I am pleased that they are signing Mbappe. I would like to take this opportunity to convey the message that I am delighted that Real Madrid is making such signings to build a strong team.”

He also addressed the Super League, which continues to try and figure out a future.

“The issue is not Real Madrid, but Florentino Perez and his very personal vision. Every day, more and more fans of the team are opposed to the Super League concept.”
