Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Bournemouth star Lloyd Kelly, according to Soccer insider information.

Spurs have strengthened their defensive line with the purchase of Radu Dragusin from Genoa in the recently concluded winter window. But it appears Ange Postecoglou wants to sign a new defender in the next window and signing a left-footer appears to be on the agenda for him as the Lilywhites have been linked with numerous names in recent weeks.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are reportedly looking to sign a new centre-back as a possible long-term successor to Virgil van Dijk, who will turn 33 this year.

Gonçalo Inácio, Antonio Silva and Leny Yoro have all been mentioned as potential targets for the Merseyside club, but Kelly is also reportedly on their radar.

According to the report of Soccer insider informationKelly has entered the final six months of his current contract and has no intention of extending his contract with Bournemouth.

The report further states that Kelly can reach a prior agreement with foreign clubs with AC Milan, Juventus and several Bundesliga clubs interested in signing him, but the player does not want to rush the decision and sign for a foreign club.

Soccer insider information claims that Tottenham and Liverpool are long-time admirers of the Englishman and have been closely monitoring the defender's situation in recent times before making a possible blow in the next transfer window.

Kelly, who stands 6ft 3in tall, is a versatile defender as he has centre-back traits but can also be deployed in the left-back position. He is fast, strong, good in the air, comfortable playing from the back, excellent in defensive contributions and also reads the game well.

The Bournemouth star is a first division proven star and signing a player of his qualities for free would be shrewd business for Liverpool or Tottenham if either club manages to secure his signature.

However, it will be interesting to see whether the north London club or the Merseyside club will eventually opt to make a concrete approach to signing Kelly if he eventually leaves Bournemouth on a free at the end of this campaign.
