Liverpool are interested in the La Liga star with a release clause of 35 million euros

Girona parted ways with several key players last summer, despite qualifying for the 2024-25 Champions League. One player they managed to keep was Miguel Gutierrez, although he may struggle to do so for much longer.

In recent weeks, interest in Gutierrez's services has been building. Real Madrid have him as an option to sign again if they miss Alphonso Davies, while Manchester United have also entered the race. now, Caught Offside say Premier League leaders Liverpool have him on their shortlist of left-back targets.

Gutierrez, 23, has a release clause of €35m, although Girona could accept slightly less if Liverpool come knocking. However, Real Madrid has the biggest advantage since they are able to return to the Santiago Bernabeu for only 8 million euros, as this is the value of his purchase clause.

It seems that Gerona will find it difficult to retain the services of Gutierrez next season, especially if they cannot secure European football. If he leaves, they will certainly prefer if he ends up in England.
