Liverpool are selling a commemorative Jurgen Klopp cap to remember their beloved boss, but fans are left stunned by the 'outrageous' price
Liverpool have released several limited edition Jurgen Klopp caps, but they aren't cheap.
Klopp's nine years at the club came to an emotional end this season, with Arne Slot – whose first official day as a coach began with one of his players demanding to leave – coming in to replace it.
Now, fans can remember the German by getting their own version of the cap their legendary manager wore many times during his time on the Anfield touchline.
Or at least they were able to!
On Friday, 500 baseball caps were put on sale, but they are already sold out in the market. Liverpool club store website.
Each cap includes his iconic quote “I'm not a dreamer.” I'm a football romantic' with gold stitching and its own number from the limited edition of 500 units.
The gift box also includes 12 picture cards capturing some of Klopp's “biggest moments” as a manager, featuring the popular manager's signature cap and cards.
Each Klopp cap costs £150.
But while some fans clearly weren't put off by the price, others, despite their love for their outgoing boss, weren't as impressed.
“The price is outrageous,” one fan wrote, replying on X.
A second added: “For just £150 you too can have a generic baseball cap with a simple design.”
“I totally understand this is a 'special edition' cap and we all love Jurgen, but £150!” responded a third.
Caps are also hitting eBay.
One is currently being sold on the website, but this time for £500.
Klopp made 489 appearances for Liverpool, winning a Premier League title and a Champions League, among other accolades.
