Liverpool fans split over Trent Alexander-Arnold as angry Red turns on 'rat' ahead of rumored Real Madrid move
Trent Alexander-Arnold's future is the talk of Anfield, as is Liverpool's star duo Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.

talkSPORT understands that Liverpool have He rejected an approach from Real Madrid However, as things stand, they will not be able to sign the player in January as Alexander-Arnold's contract at Anfield expires in June.
Alexander-Arnold's departure from his boyhood club has caused a divide among Reds fans, although Liverpool fan Lee made it very clear where he stands in the debate, branding the defender a “rat”.
“He is a Liverpool boy. “Why does he want to go to Real Madrid when he can win everything with Liverpool like he already has?” Lee questioned.
“He said he wants to be captain of Liverpool and be like Steven Gerrard. If he leaves, he will be hated in my eyes.
“I'd rather have a statue outside than go to Madrid for four years when you don't even know how to speak the language just to say that you went to Madrid. It's a rat.”
After the call ended, talkSPORT's Natalie Sawyer said: “If you've won everything there is to win at Liverpool, why wouldn't you want to try to do it somewhere else? It's ambition, isn't it?”
Another fan called The Sports Bar to express his disdain for the “selfish” and “greedy” Alexander-Arnold. He also had a personal message for the right back.
“If you can label this selfish man, Trent Alexander-Arnold in this message, tag him because I need him to hear it,” Reds fan Mo told Jason Cundy and Jermaine Pennant.
“Trent Alexander-Arnold, if you're listening, you're nothing more than a selfish, greedy, self-centered, narcissistic, arrogant young man and I can't wait to see your back.
“Please, Liverpool are selling him now, I want him out tonight. I'll pack his bags for him. It's nothing, I don't want this arrogance at Liverpool Football Club, I want him gone now. I'll book his flight.” personally with the money I earned last night.
“I'll book your flight to Madrid right now. I'm sick of hearing about Trent Alexander-Arnold, he's so selfish.”
Former Liverpool and Arsenal winger Pennant defended Alexander-Arnold, insisting there is nothing wrong with leaving a club.
“He will become a miserable failure like (Eden) Hazard. He will fail there,” Mo replied.
However, Liverpool fan Stuart insisted the right-back owes the club nothing.
“Good luck to the boy, you know what I mean? Why would he want to leave?” Stuart said.
“It's Real Madrid, but right now… look where Liverpool are.
“People are criticizing the guy, but we always criticize players for not trying new things and testing waters abroad.
“So if he wants to leave, he doesn't owe the club anything and we will move on. Nobody is bigger than the club.”
The right back, considered one of the best passers in the world, has played more than 350 games for Liverpool, scoring 20 goals and assisting 85.

His time at Liverpool has allowed him to win a Premier League, an FA Cup, two Carabao Cups and the Champions League.
