Liverpool have already reached an agreement with Giorgi Mamardashvili on personal terms, with a deal agreed for a net salary of €4 million, and a long-term contract. The plan is to go to Bournemouth this season on loan, if a deal can be agreed with Valencia.
According to ReliefBournemouth are willing to pay a €5m loan fee for Mamardashvili, Valencia and Liverpool after signing a right to buy for 2025, and his move would be permanent. Bournemouth are reluctant to make the deal, however, and have informed the other two that it must be completed quickly as they begin to look for alternatives.
Liverpool had initially made an offer of 35 million euros, consisting of 30 million euros in a fixed fee increasing another 5 million euros in variables. His latest offer would make the 40 million euros that Valencia had initially decided to bring for him at the beginning of the summer. The increase is only in variables though, and Valencia have not yet responded.
If Valencia delays however, and Bournemouth withdraw from the operation, Mamardashvili would be happy to stay at Mestalla next summer. The fee Valencia would receive would drop to that point without Bournemouth's contribution.
The positive news for Mamardashvili, Liverpool and Bournemouth is that Valencia have no intention of standing in the goalkeeper's way of completing a dream move. That said, the head of Meriton Holdings and therefore the head of Valencia, Peter Lim, is notoriously difficult to negotiate with. With Valencia struggling to bring in players, it seems more likely that Mamardashvili is their big sell.
