Liverpool 'They are closely monitoring' FC Nordsjaelland midfielder Daniel Svensson for a possible transfer transfer to Anfield this summer, according to Football transfers.
The 22-year-old has been an ever-present figure in Nordsjaelland's midfield since breaking into the first team from the academy. His versatility has allowed him to play in midfield and wing-back positions reminiscent of Tottenham Hotspur's Archie Gray has featured in five games so far in the Danish Superliga and his performances have caught the eye of Liverpool, who are now closely monitoring his progress, according to the report.
According to Football transfersThe Reds have been impressed by his versatility and believe his physique is suited to the Premier League having observed it extensively over the past few months.
However, the Merseyside club face stiff competition from Serie A giants Juventus, who fancy the Sweden Under-21 international at left-back, according to the report.
Svensson still has a contract with Nordsjaelland that runs until the summer of 2027 and is currently valued at a modest €3 (£2m) per Transfer market which should be an absolute bargain for a player capable of playing in a number of different positions.
Liverpool set their sights on Svensson
It's been a quiet summer for Liverpool so far, as they are the only Premier League side yet to sign a player this summer.
They were heavily linked with a move for Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad before the Spanish midfielder opted to remain at the San Sebastian outfit.
The Reds have also been linked with a move for Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, who has reportedly agreed a personal deal with the club.
Arne Slot's side have now earmarked Svensson as a potential midfield option and have also cited his versatility to play in a number of positions as a valuable asset to their side.
The 22-year-old is also a creative spark and a goalscoring threat, just like Trent Alexander-Arnold — having scored six goals and provided three assists while playing as a left-back, while also scoring three goals and providing nine assists while playing in midfield.
After a brilliant debutant Premier League win over Ipswich Town, Arne Slot will relish the chance to secure his first home Premier League victory when Liverpool host Brentford at Anfield on Sunday.
