Harry Wilson scored a goal and two assists as Fulham confirmed Luton's relegation from the first division with a 4-2 win at Kenilworth Road.
Adama Traoré opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, but there was still time for Carlton Morris to equalize from a penalty before the break, and then for Raúl Jiménez to regain the visitors' lead.
Jimenez scored a second half start to put his team firmly in the driving seat and, after Alfie Doughty pulled one back, the influential Wilson scored the decisive goal to round off an impressive individual performance. Marco Silva fielded a rotation Fulham team that showed a lack of cohesion in the first period as it struggled to get going.
Luton took advantage of the Cottagers' sloppiness and a nice pass from Daiki Hashioka found Morris unmarked, whose shot was fired into the chest of Bernd Leno from inside the six-yard box. Wilson's curling shot, which skimmed the left post, was all Fulham had to show for it as Luton continued to bombard their goal.
After Jordan Clark's half-volley narrowly missed, centre-back Hashioka continued to show his attacking quality with an attempt which the Fulham players quickly scrambled to block. Tahith Chong's goal disallowed for offside gave Fulham life when they created their best chance. The speedy Traoré accelerated down the left and met Jiménez's header with a floating cross that the Mexico international headed wide.
The visitors, however, did not have to wait much longer to score the first goal. Wilson put a ball between the lines to Traoré, who took the corner with a curved shot. Luton led their men from the restart and were awarded a penalty, following a VAR check when Chiedozie Ogbene was brought down by Calvin Bassey in the area. Morris claimed his 10th of the season, sending Leno the wrong way from 12 yards.
But, as is typical in this back-and-forth, Fulham scored another to make it 2-1 before the break. Wilson got behind the Hatters' back before Jimenez finished his first putback.
After the break the Cottagers extended their lead thanks to Jiménez. Harrison Reed played a perfect indirect free kick and the powerful striker headed past the defenseless Thomas Kaminski. Luton full-back Doughty scored six minutes later with a driven shot, with Leno going wide.
But Wilson's impressive performance went a step further when he returned to action, the Welsh winger guiding the ball into the top corner from outside to seal the victory.
