'Make sense': Arsenal fans riot again as Spurs star escapes red for foul eerily similar to William Saliba
Arsenal fans expressed their fury once again after Tottenham defender Micky Van de Ven escaped a red card despite committing a foul as a last man.
Midway through the second half, Crystal Palace Striker Jean-Philippe Mateta headed the ball into the path of Ismaila Sarr, who had to beat They come from come in a foot race to reach it.
But just when Sarr looked like he was going to receive the ball first, Van de Ven brought him down approximately 30 meters from the goal.
Despite being the last man and with no defenders around him, the VAR chose not to delve further into the incident involving Van de Ven, who escaped with only a yellow card.
Although Tottenham still had 11 men on the field, the result mattered little as Palace claimed their first victory of the season with a 1-0 victory: Mateta scored the winning goal in the 31st minute.
Arsenal fans were quick to weigh in on the matter. William Saliba was expelled by a similar lack against Bournemouth.
Saliba initially received a yellow card when he brought down Cherries striker Evanilson in the center circle, but VAR soon converted the foul to a red one.
It meant the French superstar was ruled out for Arsenal's crucial clash against Liverpool.

One fan said: “The VAR changed the red card to Saliba and left Van de Ven with a yellow card, which one was closer to the goal?”
Van de Ven's controversial foul is not the only one that has upset Arsenal fans this season.

Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo produced a strikingly similar missing to Saliba during last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.
Adarabioyo was caught by a long ball over the top intended for Liverpool star Diogo Jota.
As Jota looked to pass, Adarabioyo tangled with the Reds forward and tackled him to the ground just beyond the halfway line.
Even though the Chelsea centre-back was the last man, he escaped with only a yellow card from referee John Brooks.
