Manchester City already holds the record for the most one-sided clashes in the history of the English football league and now has the opportunity to extend it.

Pep Guardiola's men face Bournemouth on Saturday looking to continue their historic unbeaten run, while the Cherries will want to end almost 40 years of misery.

Bournemouth have not won any of their 20 league games against Man City, losing 18 and drawing two.

It is a streak that stretches back to 1987, when both clubs were in the old Second Division, to the present day in the Premier League.

However, the start on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. could be the toughest test for the current English champions against Bournemouth to date, due to a City injury crisis and the south coast side still flying high after a morale-boosting victory over Arsenal.
