manchester united They have supposedly given permission to Erik ten Hag sign Crystal Palace star Michael Olise this summer, according to transfer journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Red Devils have been struggling with their right-wing position in recent years. Initially they decided to sign Jadon Sancho to solve that problem, but the Englishman failed to perform at his best in the first division.

Man Utd even bought Antony from Ajax Amsterdam for a huge fee of £86 million a few seasons ago, but the Brazilian has also found it difficult to make his career blossom at Old Trafford.

With Sancho likely to be sold at the end of this season after falling out with Ten Hag, the Red Devils have apparently started exploring the market to replace the Englishman this summer.

speaking in GiveMeSport, Jacobs have reported that Man Utd have “approved” a deal to sign Olise so that Ten Hag's side can make a concrete approach to acquiring his service during the off-season.

Smell Manchester United

The journalist further states that Manchester United are also interested in Pedro Neto, but that they would not be able to sign him if they buy Olise, taking into account that Ten Hag's team also plans to sign a new defender and forward.

Jacobs said:

“There is nothing advanced with Manchester United and Pedro Neto. The only “approved” target so far, in terms of specific names and not positions, is Michael Olise. With Neto, you're looking at £65m, maybe even closer to £70m. That is not within Manchester United's capabilities if they pursue Olise, given that he also needs to focus on a striker and a centre-back.”

It has been suggested that Olise has a buyout clause included in his current contract and the the fee is around £60 million. The record Premier League champions will therefore have to spend a huge amount to attract the 22-year-old to Old Trafford this summer.

He Has been reported that the Palace star is willing to move to Old Trafford so that the Red Devils can secure his signature should they formalize their interest.

Olise has shown flashes of his qualities in the Premier League of late, so it could be a big coup for Man Utd if they buy him. However, it will be interesting to see if Ten Hag's team finally opts to strengthen the flanks by signing Olise.
