According to a Spanish media Transfers, manchester united are interested in a surprise deal for AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez during the summer transfer window.

The Frenchman has been in fantastic form for the Rossoneri in the current campaign and has already racked up 5 goals and 10 assists in 38 appearances in all competitions. He has predominantly played as a left back, but has shown the versatility of him playing in central defense when needed for the Milan giants.

It is now reported by Transfers that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag are considering a new left-back option for next season due to injury problems surrounding Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia. The Dutchman wants to have a guaranteed presence and Hernández has signed up as one of the new objectives of the team first division club.

according to Transfers, The Mancun giants would be willing to pay more than £51m to convince the Rossoneri to part with one of their most prized assets. Hernandez has also been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in recent months amid uncertainty over his future due to a lack of contract negotiations.

Quality signing

Hernandez has been a brilliant player for the Rossoneri since his permanent move from real Madrid in 2019. The 26-year-old has been directly involved in 15 goals this campaign, but he has also been sublime with his distribution, his ability to win duels and recover. He has become a quality attacking left back.

He would be an ideal signing for ten Hag and his style of play. Shaw has done well over the years with United, but he is no longer reliable with his usual injury problems. Malacia was signed to compete for spots at the position, but the Dutchman has not played this season due to complications from a knee injury.

The club needs a more reliable figure on the left side of the defense and Hernández could be the solution. The Frenchman could also be used as a left central defender whenever ten Hag decides to rest Lisandro Martínez, who has also been injury prone since his arrival from Ajax two years ago.
