Manchester City agree £81m deal with Atletico Madrid for Julian Alvarez, almost six times what they paid
Manchester City have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for Julián Álvarez.
The transfer fee is around £81m, six times what the Citizens paid for the 24-year-old in 2022.
Alvarez joined the Premier League champions for a fee of £14million two years ago from River Plate.
The Argentine star is interested in moving to Spain but personal terms have not yet been agreed, although that is not expected to be a problem.

“Julian has played a lot. Does he want more? That's fine. That's why he wants to think about it. And when he thinks about it, he'll let us know.”
